Academic experiences of shs learners studying english in distance modular approach: A phenomenological study

This study intended to explore and understand the academic experiences of senior high school students studying English in a distance modular approach. The researchers investigated experiences, challenges encountered, techniques facing challenges, suggestions addressing challenges. four Grade 12 SHS learners General Santos City National High School, one representing each track: Academic, TVL, Sports, Arts design, were participants this who selected through purposive sampling. current qualitative inquiry is phenomenological nature. data interpreted coding, categorizing, conceptualizing. It revealed that are categorized into two themes; 1. Learners’ Learning Preferences Time Management 2. Difficulty English. experienced difficulty understanding comprehending lessons subjects. findings also showed learners’ learning preferences employed time management like blocking method. intrinsic extrinsic motivation specifically rooted from being unmotivated lacking parental support tackling their difficulty; learners' identifying lack technique; environment at home shows unstable network connection inability allocate specific for work chores;
